Description

Relativity, The Special and General Theory is a simple and easy to read version of Einstein’s scientific paragon theory, written by the genius himself. In the preface Albert Einstein (1879-1955) himself writes that this book is intended “to give an exact insight into the theory of Relativity to those readers who, from a general scientific and philosophical point of view, are interested in the theory, but who are not conversant with the mathematical apparatus of theoretical physics.” Back in 1916 when he first wrote it, Einstein’s name had not yet become the household name that it is today. Born in 1879 to German-Jewish parents Einstein developed this theory first as a short paper, eventually publishing it as a book with the appendix being added by Einstein at the time of the fifteenth re-printing of this book.
The General Theory of Relativity provided a fresh look at the theory of gravity and promised a new perspective on the universe creating a book that simplifies one of the most celebrated scientific theories of all time and that gives insight into one of the most beautiful minds of the 20th century.
